The results are in from the Perth County OPP’s crackdown on drivers over the long weekend.
Here are the numbers from the police:
-94 motorists were issued speeding tickets
-2 racing charges (50 km/h over)
-13 seatbelt charges
-12 motorists received a ticket for distracted driving
-9 for moving violations
-23 other Highway Traffic Act tickets were issued
-6 Liquor licence act tickets were handed out
-3 charges of impaired or over 80mg/of alcohol
-2 drug charges
Every available officer was engaged in traffic enforcement and R.I.D.E. programs over the weekend.
