Johnston, George Maurice

George Maurice Johnston  of Britton passed away at his home on Monday, August 19, 2019, in his 79th year.

Beloved husband of Marjorie (Kraemer) Johnston.  Loving father of Elizabeth & her friend Jason Heimpel, Kenneth and Georgina.  Survived also by his brother-in-law & sister-in-law Murray & Sherry Kraemer.  Fondly remembered by five nephews and two nieces, as well as two step-nephews, one step-niece and their families.

Predeceased by his parents, Maurice and Isabel Johnston, brother Sam & his wife Marcie, sister Mary & her husband Bob Nordlander, father-in-law & mother-in-law, Ken and Viola Kraemer and one great-nephew Sylas.

Visitation to be held at Listowel Community Family Funeral Home, Wallace Ave. N., at Fairlane Road, Listowel, on Wednesday, August 21, 2019, from 2 – 4 pm and 6 – 8 pm and on Thursday, August 22, at Knox Presbyterian Church, Listowel, from 10 am until time of service at 11 am with Rev. Don McCallum officiating.

Interment in Elma Centre Cemetery.   Reception to follow at the Listowel Agricultural Hall.
