McCARTHY, WENDY

Wendy McCarthy, 48, of Dublin passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Seaforth Community Hospital on Monday, September 23, 2019 after a three year courageous battle with cancer.

Beloved wife of Greg McCarthy. Loving mother of Kate Saunders (Jordan Hogan), Kendall Janes (Mike), Kirsten Saunders (Reeve Hicks), Sarah McCarthy and Rebecca McCarthy. Cherished grandmother of Wesley and Austin Hocking, Oliver Hogan, Chase and Emery Janes. Loved daughter of Ron and Sandra Root. Dear sister of Ron Root Jr. (Rose), James Root (Kathy), Steven Root (Paula), Tracy Wilkinson (Kevin), Heather Chapman (Ross), Jackie Lamarche (Sean), Sandy Root Jr. and Amberly Harrison (Tim). Dear daughter-in-law of Terry and Judy McCarthy. Dear sister-in-law of Mike McCarthy (Deb), Pat McCarthy (Andrea) and Dale McCarthy (Deb). Also surviving are her many nieces and nephews.

Wendy loved her family and with her humble and kind nature always put others before herself.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family in celebrating Wendy’s life at the Mitchell Community Centre, 185 Wellington St., Mitchell on Saturday, September 28, 2019 from 2:00 – 7:00 p.m. Memorial donations to an education fund for Sarah and Rebecca (make cheques payable to Greg McCarthy “In Trust”)  or Change Her World (Wendy’s favourite charity) would be appreciated and may be made at LockhartFuneralHome.com.
