Over $1-million in additional funding coming to three local hospitals

Over a million dollars in additional funding is on the way for three local hospitals from Ontario.

Perth-Wellington MPP Randy Pettapiece announced on Friday that over $1.3-million is coming to the Stratford General Hospital, St.Marys Memorial and Listowel Memorial Hospital.

Stratford General Hospital will get an increase of $1.12-million, St.Marys Memorial an increase of $80-thousand and Listowel Memorial Hospital an increase of $149, 000.

Pettapiece says in a press release announcing the funding that his “government is committed to working with rural and small hospitals to end hallway medicine and correct long-standing funding inequities.”
