You’re being given a head’s up about a new pedestrian crossover in Stratford.
As a safety measure for students and other pedestrians, officials say that the crossover has been installed near the intersection of Forman Avenue and Oakdale Avenue.
They say a pedestrian crossover is a designated crossing area that includes signs and pavement markings to indicate where drivers, including cyclists, must yield to pedestrians.
The new crossover also has push button-activated flashing lights.
