Police say a St.Marys woman faces charges after she hit a person with a vehicle while impaired.

First responders were called out to Thomas Street in St.Marys around 7:45 last Friday night.

Police say a car had driven up, over the curb, hit a parked van and pushed it into a pedestrian.

The person who was hit was brought to the hospital with minor injuries.

The 36-year-old driver was arrested for driving while impaired.

She gave breath samples at the detachment which police say showed she had been drinking alcohol.
