Influenza has arrived in Perth County.
Officials at the Perth District Health Unit say there are currently fewer than five lab-confirmed cases of influenza in the area.
However, they add that because many of those cases involve patients who aren’t sick enough to be hospitalized and tested, they may only represent a small number of people who have influenza.
The health unit is urging people who are stick to stay home and they say that the flu shot is the best protection against getting sick.
