The New Year will start off with more labour disruptions for Ontario high school students.
The Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation has announced it will hold another one-day strike in eight different school boards on Wednesday.
The Avon Maitland District School Board is included on the list as is the board in Peel Region, the second-largest in the province.
It will be the fourth one-day strike by the union following two walkouts at select school boards and a province-wide walkout last month.
The union says it wants to press the Progressive Conservative government to negotiate a fair deal that is good for teachers, students and the province.
