Myrtle Jean Judge, age 95 of Stratford, passed away peacefully , surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Cedarcroft Place Retirement Residence. Born in Ellice Township, daughter of the late Norman and Louisa (Seebach) Fischer. Predeceased by her loving husband Robert Judge of 62 years on Oct 1, 2006. Proud and loving mother of Fred (Carol) Judge and Wendy (Wayne) Wharran. Grandmother of Michael Wharran, Melissa (James) Mari and great grandmother of Maximus and Leonardo Mari. Myrtle was Godmother of Dianne (Wayne) Lindner and she will be fondly remembered by her loving nieces and nephews and their families. Myrtle was employed at R.N. Ballantyne Knitting Factory and with the Stratford Post Office before she retired. She was a very active member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church (Stratford) with the Alter Guild, Ladies Aid, Ladies Bible Class, Youth Group and the Lively Lutherans. Myrtle enjoyed tending to her rose gardens, knitting, baking and playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Besides her husband and parents, Myrtle was predeceased by an infant son Robert Judge her sister Irene (Victor) Wilker and brothers Earl (Peg) Fischer, Douglas Fischer and Lorne Fischer. Family and friends are invited to call at the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 from 5-8 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 115 Cambria Street, Stratford, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Avondale Cemetery.
