Rob McLaughlin 

Robert Thomas McLaughlin, age 38, passed away suddenly in his sleep on January 17, 2020. Rob was born in Stratford, November 15, 1981, son of Tom and Liz (DeWetering) McLaughlin. Brother of Jolene, Patrick (Krista), Janet and special uncle to Temperance and Wesley. Nephew to Margaret (Marcel), Lois (Peter), Pauline, Frank (Karen), Tony (Grace), Ed (Julie), Kathy (Joe), Jo-Anne (Terry), Paul (Tami), Mike (Cynthia), Jackie (Don), Richard (Terry Ann). Also survived by many great aunts and uncles and cousins. Predeceased by grandparents Keith and Mary McLaughlin, Harry and Christina DeWetering, uncles Ben and Bill and cousins Mark and Patrick.

Rob worked as a cook and operated Big Rob’s Catering with his uncle Frank for many years. He worked in lighting sales at Wharton in London. Rob was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, Kinkora and the Knights of Columbus.

Visitation at St. Patrick’s Church, Kinkora on Monday, January 20, 2020. Family prayers at 4 p.m. followed by visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the church on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Father Dick Bester – celebrant. Interment in the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to St. Patrick’s Church Steeple Fund or the charity of one’s choice through the W.G.
