City of Stratford working closely with Huron Perth Public Health; Festival cancels performances from April 11 to May 2

The City of Stratford is monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic.

The City is working closely with Huron Perth Public Health, the provincial health administration and the Public Health Agency of Canada.

The mayor and staff have been meeting to discuss a range of issues related to COVID-19 including support for vulnerable citizens, municipal staffing levels and delivery of services and programs.

City Hall will remain open to the public and recreation programming will continue through March Break as the public health does not have any concerns with it.

There have been no cases reported in the region.

The following have been cancelled:

investStratford has postponed its International Women’s Day event scheduled for March 24 and will begin using teleconference and videoconference tools for its group and one-on-one startup programming.

The City of Stratford also supports the Stratford Festival’s decision to cancel its performances from April 11 to May 2 and sees this as a prudent decision in the best interest of its artists, crew, staff and the community.
