Germany may reject CETA

Germany may reject the Canada-EU trade agreement.

A German newspaper is saying that the German government believes the proposed deal would give too much legal protections to foreign investors.

Trade Minister Ed Fast says negotiations are ongoing.

The provisions causing the problems are the ones that allow corporations to sue governments.

Canada and the European Union announced an agreement in principle with much fanfare last October.
