Mohr, Elaine Betty (Rickert)

Passed away on Saturday August 2, 2014 at The Maples Nursing Home, Tavistock. Elaine lived on the farm all her married life at R.R. # 1 New Hamburg and moving to Tavistock in 2003. She was born 89 years ago in Kitchener and was the daughter of the late Harvey & Louise (Wettlaufer) Rickert.
Beloved wife of the late Ivan Mohr who predeceased her January 14, 2006 and were married September 28, 1946. Loving mother of Margaret & Jim Dunbar of Windsor, Donna & Chuck Miles of Tavistock, Milton & Margaret Mohr of R.R. # 1 New Hamburg and the late Barbara (2003) & Wayne Sword (1993). Sadly missed by her grandchildren Trevor, Kim, Kevin (Joanne), Jacqueline, Mike (Cheryl), Bev (Andy), Jeff, Duane, Greg (Ashley), Lisa (Kevin) and great-grandchildren Brittney, Alana, Colin, Damon, Austin, Caitlan, Brooke, Sierra, Carlee, Hudson, Makayla, Bridgette, Damien, Nate and Ethan. Remembered by brothers-in-law George Mohr and Earl & Delores Mohr. Elaine was predeceased by her brothers Lorne & Betty Rickert, Doug & Ina Hyde, sister Matilda & Earl Litt and in-laws Beulah & Henry Kaufman, Vera & Jim Pidoux, Harold & Hilda Mohr and Norma Mohr.
Elaine was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, New Hamburg.
Family and friends will be received at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg on Tuesday August 5, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday August 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, New Hamburg with Pastor J.R. Bestvater and Pastor Helen Toman officiating. Interment in Riverside Cemetery, New Hamburg. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Lung Association or the Canadian Cancer Society.
