Northwestern student takes gold at track and field meet

A Northwestern student has taken first place at the Ontario Provincial Track and Field Championships.

Sam Knechtel, who’s in grade 11, grabbed the gold in the youth pole vault.

The championships took place at the University of Windsor over the weekend.
