Huron County OPP are increasing patrols in cottage areas.
The move comes after recent reports of break-ins to some seasonal properties throughout the county and police say they’ll be doubling down with their efforts to help watch over the vacant properties.
Huron County OPP Sergeant Russ Nesbitt says the force is “hopeful our increased patrols will help prevent any additional break-ins.”
Police are also asking neighbors in the areas to keep an eye on any cottages that are vacant.
