It’s an important day for the Stratford Festival.
Officials from the festival will be appearing before the House of Commons Standing Committee on Finance Thursday afternoon to present its case for recovery funding as a result of the cancellation of its 2020 season.
The season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Among those appearing on behalf of the festival are Executive Director Anita Gaffney and  Carol Stephenson, Chair of the Stratford Festival’s Board of Governors.
The appearance is scheduled to take place between 4 o’clock and 6 o’clock.
