Police lay more than a dozen distracted driving charges in one day

A number of people have lighter pockets today after getting caught using their cell phones behind the wheel.

The Perth County OPP says 13 people were caught Friday afternoon in Listowel.

Each was given a ticket for $280.

On Saturday a 34-year-old Huron East man caused a minor, two-vehicle crash on Line 75 west of Atwood.

He was using his phone while driving a tractor.

No one was injured and he’s been charged accordingly.
