Perth County OPP is crediting quick-acting family members in saving a 5-year-old from drowning.
Just after 5 o’clock last Saturday afternoon, first responders were called out to a home in Mitchell.
They say the child was swimming in a pool when a parent who was watching them couldn’t find them.
Police say the child was quickly located underwater and was immediately pulled from the pool, where they were given CPR.
The child was then transported to a local area hospital as a precaution.
Police are encouraging everyone to attend First Aid and CPR training since you never know when you might need it.
