A 34-year-old woman has been charged with Manslaughter in the death of an Oxford County man.
On January 29th, the Woodstock Police Service Criminal Investigations Branch says it started an investigation into the death of the 26-year-old man.
On Wednesday they arrested and charged Samantha VanBelleghem with several offences including Manslaughter and trafficking fentanyl.
She had a court appearance on Thursday and was held in custody with her next court appearance scheduled for Friday.
WPS says fentanyl continues to be a serious issue in their city and county and they are committed to the education and enforcement of drug use in the community.
