Stratford hockey fans could see the Warriors back on the ice come December.
The Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League has announced opening night for the 2020-21 regular season is scheduled for Wednesday, December 2nd.
In a statement, the league says it will work with the Ontario government and the Ontario Hockey Association to be granted approval and in the coming months they will work with government officials, public health units and arena facilities to ensure a safe return to play.
The GOJHL says the season will include 40 regular season games and their regular 24 team playoff format.
The regular season is scheduled to end on March 28th with the Sutherland Cup to be awarded no later than June 7th.
It says teams will have the opportunity to hold extended on-ice training from September to November.
