Crowley, Frank

Francis Daniel Crowley, age 78, of Stratford, passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on October 4, 2020. Born in Kinkora, June 20, 1942, son of the late Daniel and Adelaide (Murray) Crowley.

Frank worked in construction most of his life. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, Kinkora, Knights of Columbus #10655 and the Stratford Cribbage League. He loved golf, snowmobiling, reading and was an avid card player who spent many Sunday evenings around the kitchen table playing pepper with family and friends.

Beloved husband for 55 years of Elizabeth (Betsy) Gansevles. Loving father of Dan Crowley (Tammy), Terrilou Josi (Hans). Grandfather of Dustine Crowley (Brandon), David Crowley, Casey Crowley, Jordan Crowley, Trenton Irwin and Bailee Irwin. Brother of Gerald (Linda), Angela Mikel (Jack), Colleen Leitch (Steve). Also survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Gerda DeWetering (Leo), Ann Boersen, Mary Van Hezewyk (Al), Casey Gansevles (Irene), Ine Michiels and numerous nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Christine DeWetering (Harry), John Gansevles, Hank Gansevles (Barb) and Tony Boersen.

Visitation at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Wednesday, October 7, from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, Kinkora on Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
