Jack Nairn passes away at 77

An important figure in Stratford’s hockey history has passed away.

Jack Nairn, the first coach of the Stratford Cullitons in 1976-1977, has died at age 77.

Nairn coached the Cullitons to their first Sutherland Cup championship in 1977-1978.

He was a lifelong resident of St.Marys with the exception of three years in the Eastern Hockey League in Greensboro, North Carolina.

His family says a celebration of life will be held and announced when COVID-19 gathering restrictions are lifted.
