Dr.Klassen says flu rates have been very low so far

Huron Perth’s Medical Officer of Health says we haven’t seen many cases of the flu this winter.

Dr.Miriam Klassen says there has been a precipitous drop in influenza cases during the COVID-19 pandemic.

She says there are several reasons that combined for the steep drop including people following so many different health measures due to the pandemic.

She adds another big reason is there was a very good flu shot campaign locally.
