Karma came to the Stratford Perth Humane Society after being surrendered when her Dad could no longer look after her. She will need someone special who is committed to her health as she does have some special needs. See what her foster family has to say about her… ” Karma is a gentle, sweet dog who equally loves to play and nap. She loves a good snuggle and to play fetch. She loves to eat but isn’t obsessed with people food (bananas being the exception). She’s great with kids and never jumps up but just because of her size children 10 and over are ideal. She’s fully house-trained and will go to the door and ask to go out.
She can’t hear very well but responds well to hand signals. She knows “come”, “sit”, “down” and “stay” and could easily learn others. She doesn’t pull on walks but likes to bark at the other dogs. She has a high prey drive so a secure yard is a must and definitely no other pets! She loves to relax outside in the sun, even in the winter! She never seems to mind the cold.
When she’s not napping she needs to be kept busy and stimulated with walks, play, toys, fetch, chewing, frozen kongs, learning tricks, and being challenged with games. If she doesn’t get enough exercise and stimulation she will let you know by talking.
She tends to eat too fast so a slow feeder/puzzle bowl/snuffle mat/treat ball are another great way to challenge her and help her eat slowly. Karma is a wonderful dog who will be a loyal companion and fun adventure partner for the right family. “
Karma does have some medication and diet requirements and we would be happy to discuss that with you, and as previously mentioned, she does not like any other animals so she will need to be the only furbaby in the house! Apartment living is not for this girl because of her sometimes need to “talk”.
