You’re being warned about a scam in the area.
Festival Hydro says its customers have reportedly been receiving calls from someone offering them energy assistance and savings through rebates or threatening disconnect to get the victim to pay right away.
They say if you receive a call, don’t give anyone your personal information and remember Festival Hydro doesn’t threaten to disconnect services immediately or ask for credit card payment over the phone.
