Walkom, Shirley

Shirley Walkom, 92, of Mitchell passed away peacefully at Hillside Manor on Thursday, September 18, 2014.

Beloved wife of the late Dalton Walkom .  Dear step-mother of Brian Walkom and Lynn,  Bruce Walkom and Nancy.  Loving step-grandmother of Tanya Diehl and Mike, Steve Walkom and Leanne, Danielle Walkom; Paul, Erin and Kate Walkom. Cherished step-great grandmother of Madeline Walkom. Dear sister of Robert Mann and Lola, James Mann and Alice and Josephine Gibson. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her parents Louis and Dorothy Mann, sister Lois Detenbeck and brothers-in-law Bill Gibson and Bill Detenbeck.

Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Sunday, September 21, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow at the Lockhart Reception Centre. Interment in Elmdale Memorial Cemetery, St. Thomas.
