Zorgdrager, Owen

Owen Richard Zorgdrager age 49, passed away  peacefully with family at his side, on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at the Stratford General Hospital. Owen was born in Stratford son of Dick Zorgdrager of Stratford and the late Norah (Squire). Owen was a Stratfordite and proud of it. From 1984 until now he was employed at FAG Bearings. He was a certified tool and die tradesman and worked his way in the company as a leader of final assembly at  FAG Aerospace. Owen was a longtime player of Fischer Flyers Saturday Night Hockey League and the Stratford Old Tyme Hockey Team. He was a faithful member of Memorial Baptist  Church. Beloved husband of Connie Susan (Stoltefuss) whom he married November 7, 1987 in Stratford, and loving father of Jane and Dean. Son of Dick Zorgdrager (Arlene), Dear brother of Brent (Nancy), Alan (Susan), Dale (Libby). Special loved unkie to Bradley, Andrew, Hilary, Alanna, Trent, Lara, Luke and Emma. Great unkie to Noah. Also survived by his mother in law and father in law Karin and Eugen Stoltefuss and his aunt Louise Squire. Besides his mother Norah Zordgrager he was predeceased by a nephew Thomas. Friends and relatives may call at the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St., Stratford on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Memorial Baptist Church, 113 Bruce St., Stratford onThursday September 25 at 3 p.m. Interment will follow at Avondale Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to Stratford General Hospital Foundation or LHSC Cancer Clinic and may be made through the funeral home.www.wgyoungfuneral.com
