Calvin Christie, 93, of Stratford and formerly of Hibbert and Usborne Townships passed away at Stratford General Hospital on Sunday, October 5, 2014.
Beloved husband of Gwen Christie. Dear father of Joan Wray and David, Helen Christie, Verna Strathdee and Alex, Jack Christie and Betty Anne, and Stan Christie. Lovingly remembered by his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dear brother of Marion Dearing.
Predeceased by his parents Andrew and Tomima Christie, grandson Steven Strathdee, brothers Roger Christie and Bernice, Murray Christie and Margaret and brother-in-law Marshall Dearing.
Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Rob Congram officiating. A reception will follow at the Lockhart Reception Centre. Interment in Roy’s Cemetery.
