Fryfogel, Christina Gertrude,

Fryfogel, Christina Gertrude, 92, of Stratford passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, June 17, 2021. She was born in Alberta on January 14, 1929 a daughter of the late Robert C. and Frances (Makins) Golighty.

She married Robert McGillawee Fryfogel on October 20, 1950 and together they farmed in North Easthope Township until retiring to Shakespeare in 1985 and later moving to Stratford in 2004. Bob predeceased her on November 13, 2005.

She was an active member of the North Easthope Community being a member of Knox North Easthope Presbyterian Church, an Honorary Life Member of Knox North Easthope Presbyterian Women’s Missionary Society as well as being active in other community organizations and activities. She was also a member of Tavistock Memorial Branch #518 Royal Canadian Legion.

Christina is survived by her son, Donald Robert Fryfogel of Manitoba; several nieces, nephews and their families.

She was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Grace and Harold Nickless; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Alec and Helen Fryfogel, John “Jack” and Jean Fryfogel.

Relatives and friends will be received in the Francis Funeral Home, 77 Woodstock Street North, Tavistock on Tuesday, June 22nd (today) from 2-4 p.m. Covid restrictions will apply at the funeral home. Please be patient. A private family funeral service will be held at St. Andrew’s Cemetery, North Easthope on Wednesday, June 23, 2021. Christina’s nephew, The Rev. Sandy Fryfogel will officiate.
