Urban Portz, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home, on Monday June 21, 2021. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Edeltraud. Lovingly remembered by his four sons. Rainer (Andrea), Klaus (Marilyn), Bernd (Ursula), Jürgen (Marie Andree). As well as three grandchildren Deanna, Devon, and Peter. He is survived by three sisters. Ute (Herbert), Inge, Bärbel (Willie). And one brother Dietmar. He was a dedicated farmer and enjoyed all the time spent on the field. In winter he liked curling and when he retired lawn bowling in the summer. A visitation will be held Friday June 25 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m., at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St, Stratford. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, June 26, 2021, at 10:00 am at St Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 96 Huron St, Stratford. Those wishing to attend the visitation, or the funeral mass must call the funeral home to reserve a spot. Those who wish to join the family from their home can do so by clicking view livestream under Urban’s obituary on the funeral home website.
