Weiss, Ellwood

Ellwood “Bill” Weiss, age 71, of Stratford, passed away suddenly at his residence on Monday October 13, 2014.  Loving husband and best friend of Sharon (Hinz) Weiss.  Survived by his children, Terry (Rhonda) Weiss of Colorado, Christine (John) McKeeman of Alabama and Darlene (Gene) Aucoin of Edmonton.  Remembered by his mother in law Edna Hinz, and the entire Hinz family along with many nieces and nephews. Bill worked at Blackstone Manufacturing and later Korlin Plastics for many years before his retirement. Bill enjoyed bowling and loved coaching baseball; he also held a special place in his heart for his two girls, Lucca and Dixie. Besides his parents, Bill was predeceased by his father-in-law Ezra Hinz. Family and friends are invited to the call at the W. G. Young Funeral Home 430 Huron Street., Stratford on Friday October 17, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will follow in Avondale cemetery.  As expressions of sympathy memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice through the funeral home. www.wgyoungfuneralhome.com
