Mathieson, Phyllis Marlene

Phyllis Marlene (Ratz) Mathieson, born in Sebringville on July 10, 1937, passed away peacefully at Stratford Perth Rotary Hospice on September 29, 2021. Phyllis was the daughter of the late Alfred and Florence (Zoeller) Ratz. She was predeceased by her husband Francis “Frank” Mathieson whom she married July 18, 1964. He predeceased her May 8, 2019. Phyllis is survived by many special nieces and nephews and brother-in-law Gordon Mathieson (Sheila). She was predeceased by her siblings Helen Vertulia (Anthony), Gladys Ranney (Don), Earl Ratz (Ruth), Lavern Ratz (Ilsa) and sister-in-law Helen Sparrow (Robert) and brothers-in-law John (Jackie), James (Betty), Albert (Mary). 

 

Visitation for family and friends at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Sunday, October 3, from 4-8 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at S​t. Joseph’s Church, 96 Huron Street, Stratford on Monday, October 4, at 11 a.m. Those who wish to join the family for Mass from home can do so by following the view livestream link below Phyllis’s obituary on the funeral home website. Interment at Avondale Cemetery followed by a reception at the Arden Park Hotel.
