Mohr, Ivy Jane

Passed away on Monday December 23, 2013 at her residence Nithview Community, New Hamburg. She was born 98 years ago in North Easthope Township and was the daughter of the late William & Ethel (Walpole) Cook.

Beloved wife of the late Louis Mohr who predeceased her July 4, 2001. Loving mother of Sandra Mohr , Jane & Bruce Leis all of New Hamburg. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Derek & Danielle Leis of Woodstock and Carrie & Steve Leskew of Barrie and great-grandchildren Ava, Adalyn, John & Meia. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Russell & Rita Cook of Stratford, Annie Kneisel of Kitchener, Kenneth Cook of St. Marys and Helen Cook of Stratford. Ivy was predeceased by her brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Stanley & Alice Cook, Mervin & Aletha Cook, Dorothy & Vernon Beam, Mae & Roy Morenz, Eileen & Walter Roth, Allister Cook, Ezra Kneisel, Colleen Cook, Ezra & Aggie Mohr, Gordon & Annie Mohr, Norman Mohr, Herbert & Mary Mohr, Elizabeth Mohr, Luella & Jack Wilson.

Ivy was a member of New Hamburg Fellowship Bible Church and also the Wellesley Women’s Institute. She taught school in the area for many years and did income tax for local families for over 50 years. She loved spending her winters at her home in Sunnybreeze, Florida.

Family and friends will be received at Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg on Friday December 27, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.. The funeral will be held on Saturday December 28, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Dave Irwin and Pastor Shawn Symon officiating. Interment at a later date in Rush’s Cemetery, Wellesley Township. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to Aldaview Services, Nithview Community or New Hamburg Fellowship Bible Church.
