Dr.Klassen says safety should come first for Halloween

It’s important to keep COVID-19 safety front of mind when heading out to trick or treat.

That from Huron Perth Medical Officer of Health Dr.Miriam Klassen who says taking part in Halloween activities outside is a fairly low-risk activity that can be done.

She says it should be done mostly outdoors and ghouls and goblins should limit the time they are at each stop.

Dr.Klassen says we should be able to enjoy the festivities as long as we follow the rules.

“If everybody follows the public health recommendations and keeps their interactions brief and wears masks and does hand hygiene, I think we can do this safely.”

Dr.Klassen adds you shouldn’t overcrowd doorsteps and you should still keep a safe distance between yourself and other candy hunters.
