Nafziger, Edith

Edith Nafziger passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, November 3, 2014 at Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton. Edith was born in Hampstead, 85 years ago, a daughter of the late Jacob Lichty and former Mary Schmidt. Loving wife of the late Melvin Nafziger. Beloved mother of Rochelle & husband Fritz Ryter, and Brian & wife Sheila Nafziger, all of Milverton. Dear grandma of Heidi & Paul Dietrich, Peter & Ann Marie Ryter, and David Nafziger; and great-grandma of Brittany, McKenzie, Jesse, Austin, Ashton and Avery. Edith is also remembered by brothers Allan Lichty, Larry Lichty and Norman Lichty, and sisters Wilma Kelterborn, Emmaline Roes, and Helen Aires as well as by a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughters Pauline (1965) and Brenda in infancy, as well as brothers Eddie, Earl, Jake, Kenny, and sisters Irene Shantz, Carol Connolly, Marie Gooding and Frieda Gerber.

Edith was a member of Poole Mennonite Church. She loved to garden and spend time with her family. She was especially proud of her grandchildren.

Visitation at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 7 Spencer Street, Milverton on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.. The funeral service will be held at Poole Mennonite Church onThursday, November 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m.. Pastor Paul Dyck officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
