A life lived well. Charles (Bill) Vernon Hall, age 97, passed away at Greenwood Court on Sunday December 22, 2013. Born in Twyford, Winchester, England, Charles was the son of the late John W. Hall and Mabel Tillman. Charlie was a lifelong resident of Stratford and worked in a variety of roles for G L Griffith and Sons, Federal Mogul and Bower and retired from Standard Products in 1981. Charlie served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War. Beloved husband for 57 years to the late Kathleen Louise (Schmidt) Hall who predeceased Charlie on July 10, 2000. Loving father to Ken (Jean) Hall of Granger, Indiana, John of Burlington, Ontario, Susan of Guelph, Ontario and Deborah of San Francisco, California. Cherished grandfather of Stephanie (Tony) Theodoropoulos of Stratford, Ontario, Nicholas of Hamilton, Ontario, Rachel of Burlington, Ontario and Johanna of Granger, Indiana. Great grandfather to Ari Theodoropoulos of Stratford. Charlie was predeceased by three brothers Len, Fred and Gordon Hall and one sister Dorothy Hayward. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, 202 Erie St., Stratford on Saturday December 28th at 11 a.m. Reception to follow.
