A 26-year-old Stratford man faces a raft of charges after an incident involving a suspicious vehicle and a damaged police cruiser.
Just after 4 o’clock last Tuesday afternoon, Perth County OPP says an officer found a suspicious vehicle at a property on Perth Line 40 in Perth East.
When the officer tried to stop the vehicle, police say it struck the cruiser and tried to flee.
The vehicle became stuck, and the suspect fled on foot.
While fleeing, investigators say the suspect committed a break and enter at a nearby property.
He was eventually arrested a short distance away and has now been charged with 13 offences.
