You’re being urged to be careful around roadside snow banks or large piles of snow in your neighborhood.
Officials with the City of Stratford say the heavy equipment used to clear roads and sidewalks, along with regular traffic, make the snowbanks slippery and unstable and they can be a dangerous place for children to play.
Snow plow drivers also may not see a child, or the child may not see the vehicle, if they are playing in the area.
Parents are asked to talk to their children about the potential dangers of playing in the snow banks and snow piles.
