The 2022 New Holland Canadian Junior Curling Championships begins Friday at the Stratford Rotary Complex with 36 men and women’s teams competing.
Officials say the event is expected to generate over $1.5 million in revenue including meals and hotel rooms reserved.
Event Co-Chair Rob Douglas says there are a lot of curling fans headed to the area.
“We have seen a record number of tickets sold and we’re looking for a great opening weekend and we expect the numbers to build.”
The tournament wraps up on Friday, April 1st, with the finals.
