Perth-Wellington PC MPP Elect Matthew Rae says his new job is setting in.
Rae was elected for the first time in the provincial election earlier this month and he will be officially sworn in to the role on Thursday afternoon at Queen’s Park.
Premier Doug Ford, set to unveil his cabinet on Friday, says he’ll be recalling the legislature for a rare summer session so that the budget can be passed.
Rae says he’s ready to get to work representing our region.
“Really there’s only been roughly 1,032 MPP’s before this current parliament so a very small group has ever served in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, it’s a great honor to be able to serve there.”
Rae says he’s focused right now on getting his office set up in Stratford as well as meeting with constituents across Perth-Wellington.
