Webb, Lois Jane

Lois Jane (Johnson) Webb, formerly of Stratford, passed away peacefully with wonderful caregivers by her side at Royal Terrace, Palmerston, on Monday, November 14, 2022, just shy of her 85th birthday.

Beloved wife & best friend of the late Ernest (Ernie) Herbert Webb, who predeceased her in February, 2012.

Lois was born and raised in Stratford, daughter of the late Arthur & Florence Johnson.   She graduated from Stratford Collegiate Institute and began her career at British Mortgage & Trust Co., retiring from the Bank of Nova Scotia many years later.  Lois was a lifelong member of St. James Anglican Church in Stratford, sang in the choir and served on various committees over the years.  She was a former member of the Stratford Tennis Club, winning many accolades in this sport.  Lois is fondly remembered by several special cousins, dear friends and former co-workers, who will miss her greatly.

At Lois’ request cremation has taken place with arrangements entrusted, with confidence, to Listowel Community Family Funeral Home.

Graveside & Committal services will be held at the family plot in Avondale Cemetery, Stratford, on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 11 am. with Rev. Elaine Clark-Sibbery officiating.

Everyone is invited to a luncheon at St. James Anglican Church following the service for a time of remembrance and fellowship.

A sincere Thank You is extended to everyone who so lovingly cared for Lois at Royal Terrace, Palmerston.

Memorial remembrances to Royal Terrace Resident’s Council, 600 Whites Road, Palmerston,  NOG 2PO or St. James Anglican Church, 41 Mornington St.,  Stratford, ON.  N5A 5E7  would be appreciated.
