McLeod, Donald Roy

Donald Roy McLeod, age 82, passed away peacefully, with his family by his side on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Stratford General Hospital. Born in South Easthope, Township, son of the late Alfred and Priscilla McLeod. Don is survived by his true love and best friend Dolores (Dawson) McLeod of 62 years. Proud father of Michael (Michelle) McLeod, David (Terri) McLeod and Candice (Jeff) Palmer. Grandfather of Scott (Paige), Mathew (Samantha), Heather, Brittany (Reis), Jenna (Craig), Brantly (Michaela), Hilary (Nathan), Sarah (Brendan), Kelsey and his 7 great grandchildren. Don will be remembered by his sister-in-law Lorraine Shackleton and nieces and nephews.  Don was a well-respected, self-employed carpenter for many years in Stratford and area. Besides his parents, Don was predeceased by his brother James McLeod, his father and mother-in-law Robert and Alberta Dawson and his brother-in-law Wayne Shackleton. Dolores and her family would like to sincerely thank all the wonderful staff at Stratford General Hospital. It was all very much appreciated. Family and friends are invited to Don’s visitation on Thursday, January 12, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and on Friday, January 13, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of Don’s funeral service at 2:00 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made directly by credit card to Stratford General Hospital Foundation or Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth through the W.
