COVID-19 outbreak declared over at Clinton Public Hospital

A COVID-19 outbreak has been declared over at Clinton Public Hospital.

It was first declared in the hospital’s Inpatient Unit on January 31st.

Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance officials say immediate precautions were implemented including prevalence testing.

The unit has now reopened to admissions and transfers with families and caregivers allowed to visit again.

“While this outbreak is over, we can’t stress enough the importance of layering up your protection to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and other respiratory illnesses that are circulating in Huron Perth,” says Erica Jensen, Manager Quality, Patient Safety & Infection Control. “Keep up-to-date with your vaccines/boosters, wear a mask when in indoor public spaces, wash your hands often, and stay home if you are feeling sick.”

Everyone must wear a mask when entering any of the HPHA hospitals sites and COVID-19 self-screening must be completed
