Environment Canada says the snow will begin later Friday afternoon and continue into Saturday morning.
The weather agency says the area could see 15 to 25 centimetres of snow with snowfall rates up to four to six centimetres an hour possible.
It warns visibility will be reduced because of heavy snow and blowing snow and rapidly accumulating snow will create hazardous driving conditions.
