It’s almost showtime with the Stratford Festival’s 71st season officially launching this week.

Five productions across all four theatres open Tuesday including King Lear, Rent and Monty Python’s Spamalot.

The opening week schedule:

Tuesday, May 30

7:30 p.m. King Lear

Festival Theatre, 55 Queen Street

Red carpet timing:

6 p.m. Red Carpet begins

6:30 p.m. Stratford Police Pipes and Drums parade to the Festival Theatre

7:30 p.m. Performance begins

10:30 p.m. After party in the lobby

Wednesday, May 31

8 p.m. Monty Python’s Spamalot

Avon Theatre, 99 Downie Street

Run Time: 2:15

Thursday, June 1

8 p.m. Casey and Diana

Studio Theatre, 34 George Street East

Run Time: 2:45

Friday, June 2

8 p.m. Rent

Festival Theatre, 55 Queen Street
