Go Fund Me page set up for Perth County OPP officer killed in collision near Woodstock

Donations are being accepted to support the family of a Perth County OPP officer killed in a collision near Woodstock.

A Go Fund Me page has been set up for 35-year-old Detective Constable Steven Tourangeau who was one of two drivers killed in a crash involving a school bus early Monday morning on Highway 59 at Oxford Road 33.

There were no students on the bus or passengers in the unmarked police vehicle involved.

A message on the page says Tourangeau was a dedicated police officer, a loving husband, a perfect friend, son, brother, uncle, and the world’s best dad to three amazing boys.

It goes on to say that his wife is going to have a long road ahead of her- navigating life with her little boys.

Detective Constable Tourangeau is the fifth Ontario police officer to die this year.

A Go Fund Me page has also been set up for the bus driver involved, identified as 71-year-old David James Stewart.

The cause of the collision has yet to be determined with London Police leading the investigation.
