A substantial amount of blue-green algae along the shore of the reservoir at the Wildwood Conservation Area has led to the closure of the beach.
Officials with the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority say the beach will be closed for the remainder of the operating season.
Conditions are not likely to improve, especially with the continued warm weather forecast this week.
Signs have been posted in the area and Huron Perth Public Health has been contacted.
