The school year has just started, and a driver has already been charged with speeding in a school zone.
Just before 9 o’clock Wednesday morning, Stratford Police say they stopped a white minivan, which had been traveling 51 kilometres an hour over the speed limit at Downie Central Public School on Line 20 in Perth South.
The area has a reduced speed limit during school hours, with marked signs indicating a speed limit of 60 kilometres an hour with flashing lights on the signs.
A 39-year-old woman from Stratford was charged with Stunt Driving and has had her license suspended for thirty days and her vehicle impounded for 14 days.
