The Vice-Chair of the Huron Perth Catholic District School Board is being recognized provincially.
Jim McDade is the recipient of a 2024 Ontario Catholic School Trustees’ Association Trustee Award of Merit.
Officials say the awards are presented to those who have rendered exceptional service to Catholic education over the years.
McDade was acclaimed to the Vice-Chair position last November and has been a trustee since 2006.
HPCDSB Director of Education Chris Roehrig says in a media release that McDade is relentless in his advocacy for supporting all students and families who are pushed to the periphery of society.
