Stratford Police find success with ‘Wanted Wednesday Program’

Stratford Police Service’s ‘Wanted Wednesday Program’ is working.

The social media programĀ enlists community help to find people with outstanding warrants.

That community involvement has resulted in all four individuals featured in ‘Wanted Wednesday’ posts being located and arrested.

A male was arrested July 10 in St. Marys for charges including assault and forcible confinement.

Another male was arrested on July 6 in Stratford for possession of stolen property.

On July 5, a male was arrested in Stratford for charges including criminal harassment and break and enter.

Another male voluntarily surrendered to Stratford Police July 3 for charges related toĀ  domestic violence.

Stratford Police intend to continue the ‘Wanted Wednesday Program’ to uphold public safety and are open to suggestions for further community safety initiatives through social media.
